Patricia Angelini Rossi made her debut as a billionaire once she inherited a stake in natural resources conglomerate Angelini Group, after the death of her late uncle, Anacleto, in 2007. The group, considered to be the largest owner of forest land in Latin America, has some 4 million acres across Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
The group's largest holding is the publicly-traded company Antarchile, which deals with distributing fuel and other shipping services, as well as it invests in energy and forestry. As of September 2012, Antarchile's forestry subsidiary, Arauco, expanded its operations in North America with the purchase of Canadian laminated product maker Flakeboard. The company continues to grow under the leadership of her brother, Roberto Angelini Rossi, also a billionaire.
