What is Anatoly Skurov's Net Worth?
Anatoly Skurov is a Russian design engineer and entrepreneur who has a net worth of $1.7 billion. Born Anatoly Georgievich Skurov on 7 December 1952 in the Tula region, he started earning his wealth right after his graduation from the Tula Polytechnic Institute in 1975, when he went to work at the Kopeyskoye Engineering Plant, Russia's main producer of underground mining machines and equipment. Few years later, he became the Chief Technical Designer and Chairman of the Plant's Design Bureau. After gaining a PhD on creating efficient mining equipment and machinery, in 1994, Skurov joined the state company Rosugol, a coal producer, as Senior Designer at the Department of Mining Equipment.
The next year, together with few partners, he launched Sibuglement, a coal producer, and Skurov became its CEO. Recently, the partners have been fighting over coal assets. Moreover, Skurov holds 8% of the shares of Uralkali, a fertilizer maker.
