Provocative documentarian and author Michael Moore has earned fame, notoriety and fortune with his film and book projects. But who knew that the title of Moore's book "Downsized This!" could arguably apply to one of his most infamous productions – the sprawling lakeside home that Moore and his wife and early collaborator Kathleen Glynn purchased and renovated?
Glynn gained the house after her 23-year marriage to Moore collapsed, and now the 11,058-square-foot property has been listed for $5.2 million.
That is remarkable pricing for such a property, especially when the two main features are size and well, more size. The property, with a main house and a guest lodge, has 300 feet of frontage on Torch Lake, seven bedrooms, five full bathrooms, three three-quarter bathrooms and one half-bathroom. Sounds like the right setup for a large family that is big on entertaining during the summer.
